The portable Curlin Air utilises air-coupled ultrasonics and requires no surface preparation and no direct contact with test object. Socomate FAAST
The Socomate FAAST system is a unique Phased Array System that can generate multiple angles and multiple focal zones per pulse. Most PA units require several pulses to generate different angles, focal zones etc., slowing down the scanning speed. Using a patented pulser technology, the FAAST system can generate and evaluate multiple beams simultaneously. This allows the FAAST to be used for faster applications such as immersion scanning & on-line tube testing.
